The Old Goat

The Old Goat is faithful
And sometimes sweet
But mostly he's ornery
And needs to be beat!

He's hairy and grumpy
And usually stinks.
He flakes and he sheds
And so slow when he thinks.

He makes me laugh
Because he's so funny.
He has the ability
To make grey skies sunny.

Today he's a year older
and worse for the wear.
For this Old Goat
I really do care!

I wrote this for my dad's 61st birthday on Wednesday the 27th of April.
